Eurotech Aluminium Castings in Venlo has now installed its new Okuma MA-600H machining centre. This investment fits perfectly with the philosophy of Eurotech Aluminium Castings for the casting and machining of aluminium sand castings. The sand foundry was fully automated some years ago, with investment in a fully automatic Heinrich Wagner Sinto sand moulding machine. Investment is now being made in the machining department in continued preparation for unmanned operation. The Okuma machine can accommodate 285 tools and a pallet size of 630x630 mm. With an axis travel of 1000x900x1000 mm, it is well equipped to machine the aluminium sand castings that have been cast on the automatic HWS sand moulding line. A similar Okuma machine came into service at Pezag in the Czech Republic a few months ago.
